How to Apply

  1. Fill out the online application form below.
  2. Commerce faculty should print and sign the DOTS Participant Agreement.
  3. Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse Faculty should print and sign the DOTS Participant Agreement for Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse and the DOTS Work-for-Hire Agreement.
  4. Solicit a letter of support from your Dean/Chair.*

*A letter of support may be written by the Dean in support of an entire cohort of participants. Participants should check with their Dean’s office for pre-existing arrangements between the College/School and the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs/Distance Learning.

Send the DOTS Participant Agreement and your Dean/Chair's support letter to:

A signed copy will be sent back to you and your Dean/Chair.

Thank you for your interest in DePaul Online Teaching Series program.

This program is grant-based and competitive. Deadline for December 2009 DOTS Application is October 9th. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by October 16th. Address questions concerning the program to Dr. Sharon Guan at xguan@depaul.edu.

What course(s) do you have in mind to convert for online teaching or hybrid teaching (a combination of online and face-to-face delivery) after DOTS?

You will be given a laptop computer during DOTS as part of the technology kit and you will own it upon successful completion of the program. Please select the computer model you would prefer.
